DYB Children’s Clothing Drive is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that helps and assists disadvantaged and underprivileged children. We offer a free pickup service to those within New York, streamlining the process for individuals to donate their clothing to a good cause. We serve all five boroughs of New York City and Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

How it Works

Schedule a Pickup

Donations may be scheduled online or by phone at (718) 374-5004. Our team is happy to come to you!

Pack it Up

We ask that all donations be bagged, labeled “For DYB Children” and placed outside your residence or in your building’s lobby before 7am.

We Pick it Up

Our drivers will pick up your donation, and we’ll leave you a receipt verifying your donation.

New Yorkers Need Your Help

In the bustling heart of New York City, a staggering truth unfolds — an unprecedented 119,320 public school students experienced homelessness during the 2022-2023 school year.

These young souls, comprising 1 in 9 of New York City's student population, faced a myriad of challenges, residing in shelters, hotels, relatives' homes, and other transient places.

The statistics reveal a stark vulnerability, leading to high dropout rates and frequent school absences among these children. As the overall school enrollment shrinks, the surge in homelessness means that this critical issue has reached more schools than ever before. In some areas, like a section of the Bronx, over 22 percent of students are grappling with homelessness.

Imagine not having a warm jacket for a cold Monday morning walk to school or to work– a reality for many families. Access to well-fitted, seasonally appropriate clothing is a challenge, and affordable options are often scarce, leading to individuals wearing stained or ill-fitting clothing. Families with children can spend thousands annually on basic clothing, representing a significant portion of their income. While housing and healthcare receive attention, the need for proper clothing often goes unnoticed. Help us make a difference in the lives of these families by contributing to us today!
